Contrast sensitivity evaluation gauge
Gauge for evaluating the contrast sensitivity of radiographic imaging systems.
The Contrast Sensitivity Gage is a gauge used to evaluate the contrast sensitivity of radiographic imaging systems based on ASTM E1647. It is used in radiographic testing with X-rays and gamma rays to determine the degree of density or thickness differences that can be identified on the image. The gauge features precision indentations for verifying contrast sensitivities of 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%. When used in combination with spatial resolution evaluation IQIs such as the Duplex Wire IQI, it allows for separate verification of the spatial resolution and contrast sensitivity of the imaging system.
